Social Justice Through Latinx and Hispanic Literature and Culture (Spanish)
Explore the power of advocacy and identity through the lens of Latinx and Latin American literature in this unique dual-enrollment course that offers college credits and is co-taught with a college professor. Conducted primarily in Spanish, the curriculum examines historical and contemporary social injustices through film, poetry, and short stories. You will build academic Spanish proficiency while engaging in critical thinking about equity, intersectionality, and your own role in the community.

How can you solve this problem as an activist and not as an act of service? | In this unit students will reflect on the knowledge and understanding of the topics studied throughout the year and use this towards an act of service or change at Waltham High school. Students will identify an adaptive challenge and create a proposal as to how to progress towards change. |
