Liz AlJammal and her husband have made Waltham their home since 2000. They have two daughters, a 2021 graduate of Waltham High School and a Class of 2026 Waltham High School student. Liz has served on the Waltham School Committee since January 2017.

Liz earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College and a Master's of Social Work Degree from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Liz has been involved in the PTOs and School Site Councils at both FitzGerald Elementary and McDevitt Middle Schools. She has served on multiple Search Committees, the Special Education Task Force, the Strategic Planning Team, the Waltham Special Education Parent Advisory Council and the Social Emotional Learning Work Group.

Liz is the daughter of two immigrant parents and began kindergarten with very limited knowledge of English. She strongly believes that given the appropriate resources, all students can excel and be successful.
