Tech For Families Program

About Tech for Families

Tech for Families is an initiative dedicated to narrowing the digital divide and bringing digital literacy learning opportunities to families with children in the Waltham Public Schools. The Waltham Public Schools believes that by educating our families about the technology resources available to them, we open up opportunities for our students and strengthen the entire Waltham community.

Participants in a Tech for Families Course will learn:

  • How to navigate and use a computer
  • How to navigate the Waltham website and ParentPlus Portals
  • How to use the Internet to search for jobs in our Community
  • How to use basic business applications like Microsoft Word and Excel
  • How to create a resumé

Participants earn a Technology Literacy Certificate at the end of the course to honor their participation.
