Northeast students visit Bentley University

It’s never too early to start thinking about college? After their trip to Bentley University, there are a few Northeast students who are doing just that! On April 13, 2016, students in grade 3, 4, and 5, who work with Mrs. Russo, traveled to Bentley University on the Waltham's Tick Tock Trolley to visit their Bentley Buddies. As part of Bentley’s Service Learning Program, Bentley students have visited Northeast and worked with Northeast’s ELL students in their classroom throughout the year. The day began with a tour of the campus, which included the Bentley Library and the Hughey Center for Financial Services (trading room). This was followed by lunch at the Nest located in the Dana Athletic Center with Flex the Falcon. At the end of their visit, students played on the football field with several Bentley football players. It was a memorable day for the students. Upon their return to school, the students wrote thank you letters to their Bentley Buddies, which included Shelby, Paige, Jess N., Jess S., and Esther. We send a special thank you to Shelby Diflore and Courtney Finn for organizing this event and Tom Hart for making this visit possible.
