May has been designated Brain Tumor Awareness Month. The Mayor has issued a proclamation that May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month in the city of Waltham.
There is someone very special in our Waltham Public Schools community who is fighting his own battle with brain cancer. We are asking the Northeast community to support him and help bring awareness to brain cancer so that a cure may be found.
On Friday, May 27, we are asking everyone to Go Gray in May. The color gray represents brain cancer. You can support the people we know who have brain cancer by wearing gray on Friday, May 27th. You can also support brain cancer research by bringing a $1 donation that will be donated to the National Brain Tumor Society.
Even though May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month, finding a cure and supporting people is an everyday fight. So in June, we will be selling gray bracelets. The proceeds of the bracelet sales will also go to the National Brain Tumor Society.
