Our mission as young women who are already interested in computing and technology is to introduce younger generations of girls to the field of computer science and empower girls to believe that they can change the world with code, hence the operation name - Power Her Up! While Girls Who Code is a program designed for participants who identify as female to promote a girls-supportive environment, we will also welcome any 6th-8th grade member who wishes to join this initiative regardless of gender identity.
We are happy to announce the Kennedy and McDevitt Middle Schools have permission to launch in-person intramural sports after school. WSO students are welcome to join their home school teams. Students will have an opportunity to gather outside at school to participate in Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Co-Ed Cross Country and Field Hockey. Informational fliers are attached and questions can be sent directly to coaches as well. Unfortunately no transportation can be provided at this time. Safety precautions will be followed and masks are required at all times.
