Welcome to Waltham High School, home of the Hawks! 

Waltham High School is located ten miles west of the great city of Boston, MA. In a community full of history and pride, our 1,500+ students learn from a dedicated staff of over 130 teachers. Students at our comprehensive high school have a myriad of opportunities to be involved in their learning through career & technical education pathways, the fine and performing arts, STEM electives, athletics, and more.

Waltham High School is excited to participate in Computer Science Education Week this week, December 3rd - 7th. There will be a full week of after school activities for students leading up to the school-wide Hour of Code on Friday during C block. CS Ed Week Activities: Monday--Girls Who Code X Robotics showcase and Code a Cookie, Library; Tuesday--Human Pac Man, Cafeteria; Wednesday--Pizza talk with STEM professionals during 3rd lunch, students can sign up outside Rm 152 & 262, Breakout activity at the Waltham Public Library 3:30-5:30; Thursday--Scavenger Hunt, start in room 152.
College Planning Night - Class of 2020

The guidance department will be hosting a College Planning Night for parents of juniors on Wednesday, 11/14 at 7pm in the Canon Lecture Hall. This will be especially helpful for parents going through this process for the first time, or for those who have not done so in awhile. Counselors will be presenting on the following topics: College Admissions Trends/Requirements, Standardized Testing Planning, Useful Planning Websites, College Search/Creating a List of Schools, and An Introduction to Financial Aid and How it Impacts Creating a List. There will also be a presentation in Spanish for our Spanish-speaking families. This night is intended for parents only. Please join us for an informational night. We hope to see you there!

Community Conversation on Waltham High School Equity Priorities

We want to hear from all of our stakeholders to shape the future of WHS and fulfill our mission to provide an excellent and equitable education to ALL students.
Waltham Public Schools Private Music Lessons Program
