Inspiration version 8 (all grades) is a computer-based graphic organizer supportive of Waltham's LINKS initiative. It integrates visual mapping with outlining to help students comprehend concepts and information. The diagram view is used to create and modify concept maps, idea maps, webs and other graphical organizers, while the Outline view helps users quickly prioritize and rearrange ideas. For example, Inspiration software might be used in an elementary class reading Charlotte's Web, where the class creates a basic story web that the class can fill in with the story's main characters, setting, problem and solution.
