Summary of hardware tools: When new schools were built, each classroom was equipped with one teacher computer that has a DVD drive, connected to a television monitor. Each classroom also had student computers (1-4) with a networked b/w laser printer. Color printing is available in one of the two computer labs (see Instructional Technology Specialist for more details.)

Listening Center - a portable combination Eiki CD player and audio tape player/recorder with a built-in listening center with 5 headset jacks. Headsets are also available. Both are available for loan from the Library.

Mimio - as requested. How to Use the Mimio. With Expo™ dry-erase markers inserted into the Mimio stylus pens, everything that a teacher writes or draws on a classroom whiteboard is digitally recorded. - in color and real time - in a highly portable and versatile digital data format. Teachers can print board notes, e-mail or post in HomeworkNOW recorded Ink files, post the board notes as HTML files on websites, or link directly to NetMeeting to share classroom whiteboard with remote locations.

Weather stations - solar (see http://www.davisnet.com/weather/index.asp) installed on the roof of the school with a wireless module, to collect the data. Data is for educational use and is also be used by facilities.
