Requests to Install Software on School Computers
Computer security prevents users from installing software, including all software updates, on school computers.
The district installs a set of software tools on all computers (see Technology Toolbox links on the school webpages under Teachers & Staff). Additional requests are considered when teachers submit a formal request to have software installed on a computer. New software requests must be reviewed, approved and tested before it will be considered.
Software installed on school computers must be owned by the Waltham Public Schools.
