This program will jump-start students into their freshman year and will help students begin ninth grade on the right track. Your child will become familiar with the high school and the curricula. It is also highly recommended for current 9th grade students who are interested in getting their sophomore year off to a good start!

The English Language Arts section of the program will be an intensive reading and writing curriculum that will focus on strategies to help students become better readers, writers, and thinkers. <![CDATA[2013 Elementary Summer Math and Literacy Camp]]>  

This free summer program is open to recommended students who are entering grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the fall of 2012.  This year’s program will also have an art, drama, and library component.

The dates are: July 8 through August 2, 2013.

 Daily attendance is critical to maximize the benefit to your child. 

To be enrolled in this program you must be referred by your

classroom teacher.

 

The hours are 8:30 to 12:30.

Limited bus transportation will be provided

 

For children presently living in the Stanley, Fitzgerald and Whittemore school districts, the Summer Math and Literacy Camp will be held at the

Whittemore School.

 

For children presently living in the Plympton, Northeast and MacArthur school districts, the Summer Math and Literacy Camp will be held at the

Plympton School.

<![CDATA[Middle School Summer Math and Literacy Campe]]> The middle school summer program is a free four-week summer program at McDevitt Middle School

 for students entering Grades 6, 7 and 8 in the fall of 2013.

Time and dates are:

8:30 am to 12:30 pm

July 8 through August 2, 2013

FREE breakfast will be available.

Summer Daze is a FREE program

available to

rising 8th graders & current grade 9 students.

Times and Dates are:

Monday - Thursday

July 8 -August 1 from 8:00am-1:00pm

FREE breakfast is available

Enrollment is limited and on a referral basis.

Please contact your child's guidance counselor for more information.

This program will jump-start students into their freshman year and will help students begin ninth grade on the right track. Your child will become familiar with the high school and the curricula. It is also highly recommended for current 9th grade students who are interested in getting their sophomore year off to a good start!

The English Language Arts section of the program will be an intensive reading and writing curriculum that will focus on strategies to help students become better readers, writers, and thinkers. The math section of the program will focus on strategies and concepts needed to become proficient mathematical thinkers and problem solvers.
