The Moody Street 5K is an annual road race whose proceeds benefit students at the Waltham Secondary Public Schools (Kennedy Middle, McDevitt Middle and Waltham High Schools). The funds are earmarked to provide programs that encourage active lifestyles and healthy living as well as provide scholarships for graduating seniors. Participation and friendly competition from all Waltham schools is encouraged as well as the running community with prizes awarded for top finishers in age brackets, recognition of top finishers in each school, and more! The race begins on the Moody St bridge running south the length of Moody Street through downtown Waltham and past some of the best restaurants/shops in Greater Boston before traveling around the Island and finishing along the scenic Charles River back to Moody St. Along the way, you’ll see beautiful scenery and hear cheers from the spectators who come out to watch! Post race fun and awards, where all are welcomed, for party and refreshments will be at Shoppers on Moody St.

Dear Families, Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying Waltham families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district effectiveness. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your input. We want to know what you think. Our schools have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2018 Family Survey. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses confidential. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete, and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be. You may complete the survey online between December 3rd and December 17th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting: https://surveys.panoramaed.com/waltham/1361890826 We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s school. Thank you, Waltham Public Schools
