            Community Eligibility at the Whittemore 

The Whittemore Elementary school will be participating in a new free meal program for School Year 2015-2016. All enrolled students of the Whittemore Elementary are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at NO CHARGE each day for the 2015-16 school year, regardless of income status. If you chose not to apply online below are the links for the paper application  for free & reduced priced meals. You do NOT have to fill out a separate application for each child. We will accept one application per  household. You may mail the application to Food Services at  617 Lexington Street Waltham, MA 02452 or bring the form directly to your child’s school. Please do not do no apply online and fill out a paper application.

We are please to announce our new online meal pay feature for Waltham families. To sign up  go online to set up an account at Myschoolbucks.com or download the APP for FREE on your Smartphones. 

Myschoolbucks.com allows parents to set up an online account to monitor meal purchases daily. Parents can also view all deposits made on accounts by check or cash. Payments can be made by all major credit cards 24-7! 

For the 2015-16 school year there is a flat convenience fee of $1.95 per deposit transaction.  Please note that there is NO charge for using the Myschoolbucks.com website for checking your available balance or purchases made by your children. There is NO fee involved by sending in cash or check to your child’s school.The credit card service is a convenience option. This service provides Waltham families:

SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKERS

Are you looking for a great job with mother's hours?  Would you like to work with great people in a fun environment?  If you like children, enjoy cooking, are comfortable with a computer and like a fast pace, consider being a substitute Cafeteria Worker for the School Department.

Substitutes work as needed from 1-5 days per week for approximately 3 hours per day.  The schedule will vary anytime between 8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M depending on the location.  The hourly rate is $ 10.87 per hour. 

If you are interested, please go to the City of Waltham Personnel Department to sign up for the Substitute Cafeteria Worker List. The Personnel Department is located at 119 School Street, Waltham, MA 02451.Monday – Thursday 8:30 A.M – 5:30 P.M.  Friday 8:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Phone: 781-314-3355
