The Fine Arts Department is under the direction of Douglas Trudeau. The department encompasses the music, drama and art programs K- 12. The music department offers instruction K - 12. Students in grades K - 8 receive general music and choral instruction on a weekly basis. This standard based curriculum is designed to meet the state frameworks in music.

Owl in a Tree
Ty is a fifth grade student at the MacArthur School. We have been studying owls and discussing the art- science connection in nature.
The perspective of this painting is similar to that of taking a picture with a camera and zooming in. We discussed perspective, foreground, middle ground, background, composition, design and focal point. The primary medium for his owl is crayon.
