How do I empty the Deleted Items folder in my e-mail?
Right click on the Deleted Items folder and select Empty "Deleted Items" Folder.
Can I set-up my e-mail so that the Deleted Items automatically are removed?
Yes. If your Outlook e-mail account is not set-up to automatically delete upon exit, go to the Tools pull down menu and select "Empty the deleted items folder upon exit." This is not the case for remote e-mail, however. You will still need to empty the deleted items by right-clicking on the Deleted Items folder.

Be thoughtful about whether all recipients should receive your reply. It takes up people's time to read and delete e-mails, as well as it takes up network resources.

Personal e-mail should be read in a very limited basis, not as daily practice. This should be the exception and not daily practice.
What if I used my personal e-mail to send a file from home to school?
The better practice would be to log into the school e-mail remotely and send the file using school e-mail.
Another practice would be to upload your file to your MassONE virual drive. Every teacher and student has access to a My Folder in MassONE which is a file storage space available to the user only, as well as VHD where files can be stored and shared. Click here for more information about your VHD.
Many students and teachers also use a flash drive to transfer files between home and school.
