The courses available in Family and Consumer Sciences are offered to students in grades nine through twelve to fulfill a variety of student needs and requirements. All of these courses count toward Waltham High School’s PRACTICAL ARTS graduation requirement. Students interested in the areas of Foods and Nutrition can take Nutrition, Food, and Fitness, Chefs I, Chefs II, or Foods. Students interested in Sewing Arts can take Needlecrafts, Home Arts and Crafts, or Clothing I, Clothing II, or Clothing III . Students interested in the development and care of infants and children can take Introduction to Child Care or Child Development. Students interested in furthering their careers in the FOOD SERVICES FIELD can take the Food Services Management classes. Students interested in the CHILD CARE FIELD can take the Child Care course
