Dear Stanley School Families,
As many of you know our Artist in Residence Joshua Winer will begin his work here at the Stanley School at the end of January. We are looking for volunteers to help our classes with the mural project. A schedule of times the students will be working on the project has been sent home. Parent volunteers are needed at all times during the day. When you are here you will be assisting the children in the class so we therefore ask that no younger siblings attend these sessions. The dates of the mural project will be January 30, 2012- February 17, 2012. Please feel free to offer to come during your child's assigned class time as well as additional times. Please use the calendar that was sent home to circle dates and times of your availability. We will be working on a master schedule and we will get that to you as soon as it is completed. You will only need to come on the dates and times listed on that master schedule. We would like all responses in by Friday, January 13th, 2012. If you plan to volunteer please make sure your CORI is up to date as it will need to be in place BEFORE you can volunteer.

DROP-OFF and DISMISSAL PROCEDURE REMINDERS
Student arrivals at the Stanley School should not occur before 8:25 AM, at which time adult supervision begins.Children line up by grade outside the school and enter the building at 8:35 AM.Breakfast students enter at 8:25AM.If your child is a walker, we ask that you walk along the east side of South Street where there are crossing guards posted at each intersection.If you drop your child off by car, please use the road closest to the school, but please do not drop off beyond the crosswalk at the main entrance.This area is reserved for our vans.
School is dismissed at 3:00PM.All students who walk home will be walked out by teachers to South/ Wheelock Road and crossed over to waiting parents, guardians, etc.Please do not cross over to school property to pick up your child, as this will create safety issues and confusion.We do have a pick-up area, which is near the ramp by the gymnasium doors.You may park BEFORE the crosswalk and walk up to meet your child.
- Morning drop-off is a LIVE drop-off.Please do not leave your cars at this time.
- Children should exit cars on the sidewalk side.
- Pull over to the sidewalk before you allow children to exit cars.
- When dropping children off, please pull up as close to the main entrance as possible.
- Do not drop off or park in the area past the crosswalk.This is reserved for our vans.
- Children cannot be dropped off before 8:25 in the morn
