"Living and Learning Together"

Mission Statement

Students, parents and staff unite in a diverse community that values and promotes mutual respect, unconditional acceptance, the pursuit of academic excellence, professional motivation, cooperative contribution and life-long learning in a safe and secure environment.

Greetings Plympton Families,

Teacher Appreciation is celebrated the week of May 6th with Tuesday, May 7th designated as National Teachers' day. National School Nurse day is celebrated Wednesday, May 8th. I'd like to thank our Plympton teachers, Ms. Spence our school nurse, and all our staff for the terrific work they do each and every day. They serve our students well and their dedication, tireless efforts and enthusiasm are truly appreciated.

We are pleased to announce that student coin banks collected a little over $400.00  for our  multicultural community service project;  Coaches Across Continents, a program that uses soccer to help African children with social issues, healthcare and education. Thank you to Ms. Smidt and members of the multi cultural committee for organizing and assisting with this project.

The second administration of MCAS testing for students in grades 3-5 is May 6-May 17, 2013.   Students and staff have been working hard all year to prepare for these assessments. Please be sure you child gets a good night' s sleep before each test day, eats a light, healthy breakfast, arrives at school on time and receives confidence building word of praise and support!  Thank you for your cooperation!

Please find testing sessions, (dates, subject), below.

BOKS Rocks! Our before school physical activity/nutrition program  meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Students  participate in a group meeting, warm up games, running activity, athletic skill activity, cool-down activity and BOKS Bits (nutrition information). The program has received rave reviews from students and parents!  Thank you to our parent volunteers who are leading this program.

For the remainder of the school year students will be reminded and encouraged to practice the Plympton Pride values: Positive Attitude, Responsibility, Inclusion, Determination and Etiquette.
