Welcome to T. R. Plympton

First day of School Year 2012-2013 is August 29, 2012

Greetings Plympton Families,

Thanks to Ms Smidt, students have made banks during art class as part of our multi cultural service project. Students voted to support the "Greening Australia" cause and will collect coins through February vacation.  We are proud of our multi cultural committee and their ongoing work throughout the year.

The SuccessMaker Morning program for students in grade 2-5 has begun! This computer program offers remedial math practice in an interactive format.  Grade 2 students participating attend on Tuesday mornings, grade 3 students on Wednesday morning and grade 4/5 students on Thursday mornings.

As we continue to highlight our Plympton PRIDE values-we are focusing on DeterminationWe are looking for students who don't give up, try their best, make a plan and follow it and believe they can do something well! Students who demonstrated our last three values of Positive Attitude, Responsibility and Including Others were recognized at the Plympton Community Meetings in November, December and January.

Unfortunately we have had parents/guardians unable to chaperone trips, volunteer in class activities because an approved CORI is not on file.  If you have not done so and would like to complete a CORI form, please see Mrs. Brophy in the office. In order to chaperone a trip or volunteer in the school, a CORI must be completed and on file.  CORI approvals are good for three years.

Thanks to Mrs. Keohane and Ms. Paradis for setting up the Digital Showcase link (on the left side of this page). Please take a look at some of the terrific projects and activities happening at school.

We want to remind  families that we send students outside for recess whenever possible (weather and temperature permitting). Students should come to school with appropriate clothing and footwear.

 Mrs. Taddeo and Mrs. Hurwitz
