November Memo

Welcome November! At this time of year we reflect on giving thanks. At Plympton we are thankful for our dedicated teachers who motivate and challenge students, our staff who provide a clean, safe building, prepare breakfast/lunch meals, tend to health issues, support the administrative team and make Plympton School a welcoming place! We also give thanks to our many volunteers for their time working with students in a variety of programs, our Plympton families for their continued support, our hard working, generous PTO and most importantly our students who inspire us.  Our very best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving!

Mrs. Taddeo & Mr. Audette

Our Plympton Pride value focus this month is responsibility--following the rules, completing work, cleaning up after yourself, working well with others, making good choices. In addition, we continue to watch for students demonstrating positive attitude.

We celebrated vocabulary day on October 30th! Many new words and definitions were learned and shared--a video clip will be available on our website soon!

RTN Helps Plympton Students Learn to Save

Plympton Elementary has partnered with RTN Federal Credit Union to bring the lesson of saving to students. The Cents-ible Savers Club is a youth savings plan designed to help students understand the concept of savings and establish their own personal account. Participating in the Club can help your child develop healthy financial habits to last a lifetime.

Students interested in making a deposit or opening a Cents-ible Savers Club account can see the Credit Union representative on any of the scheduled days. Plympton visits are typically the first and third Tuesday of the month. There is a minimum deposit of $1 at the school. You can also visit one of our Credit Union branches, including our main branch located at 600 Main Street in Waltham.

For additional information on the Cents-ible Savers Club, please contact our Education and Financial Literacy Coordinator, Kerri McLaughlin, CCUCF, at kmclaughlin@rtn.org or 781-736-9962.
