There are two options for dropping off your child in the morning:
To drop off your child in the morning:
1. Please use the live parking in the Drop-Off Only spots alongside the gymnasium. You can pull up here and drop off your child. When your child has gotten out of your car, please take a left to exit the parking lot. Do not park your car here and walk your child to the door; we need this space for drop offs only.
2. Please park in one of the parking spaces and walk your child to the door using crosswalks and/or sidewalks. Do not park your car in a parking spot and let your child walk to the building by him or herself; that would be unsafe.
To pick up your child in the afternoon:
In order to respond to our collective concern for the safety of our students we will be trying out a different way to do the pick-up line beginning Monday, October 17th.The way it will work is this: You will drive up Putney Lane but will not turn into the school driveway, instead you will bear left around the rotary and park and wait for your child there. I will walk all students who are being picked up down to the playground and around to the waiting cars. You should not need to get out of your car. PLEASE NOTE: No cars will be allowed into the school parking lot from 2:45 - 3:15 p.m. Since 85% of our students travel to and from school by bus or van we will be eliminating the congestion of cars in that space, allowing buses and vans to easily pull in and leave the school. Thank you for your commitment to our students' safety. 1. Para dejar a su niño: por favor use el estacionamiento para Dejar Solamente a lo largo del gimnasio. Puede parar aquí y dejar a su hijo. Cuando el niño ha salido de su coche, por favor, gire a la izquierda para salir del estacionamiento. No estacione su coche aquí para caminar a su hijo a la puerta, necesitamos este espacio para dejarlos solamente.
2. Caminar a su hijo a la puerta: por favor, estacionase en uno de los espacios de estacionamiento y caminar a su hijo a la puerta usando los pasillos de peatones y/o aceras. No estacione su vehículo en el estacionamiento y deje a su hijo caminar a hasta el edificio por sí mismo, eso sería peligroso.
Con el fin de responder a nuestra preocupación colectiva por la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes vamos a tratar de una manera diferente de hacer la línea de pick-up a partir del lunes 17 de octubre.
La forma en que funciona es la siguiente: Se hará subir Lane Putney, pero no se convertirá en la entrada de la escuela, lugar que se gire a la izquierda alrededor de la rotonda y el parque y esperar a su hijo allí. Voy a caminar todos los estudiantes que son recogidos hasta el patio de recreo y en torno a los coches que esperaban. Que no es necesario salir de su coche.
Las primeras veces que rechazamos esta forma, estará acompañado por Ann Frassica, la Escuela de Oficiales de Seguridad.
No hay vehículos se permitirá en el estacionamiento de la escuela de 2:45-3:15. Como el 85% de nuestros estudiantes viajan hacia y desde la escuela en autobús o camioneta que se dirige a eliminar la congestión de vehículos en ese espacio, permitiendo que los autobuses y furgonetas obtener fácilmente en y salir de la escuela.
