Northeast Walks!
Get your walking shoes ready!
It is time for Northeast Walks! This is our fifth year of walking and we will be continuing our walking program by walking this May and June. We will be walking to school for the first full week in May. Our Walking Wednesdays will begin on May 4th and continue through June 22nd.
There are two ways to participate in Walking Wednesday activities: (1) students can walk from Our Lady's Church or the corner of Doty and Circle Streets (we meet at 8:00 a.m.) or (2) students who arrive on buses can walk from the corner of Abbott Rd. and Warwick Ave. Parental permission is needed for either of these opportunities.
During the first week of May, all students who walk, take the bus or carpool will receive a piece of fruit and a colored jelly bracelet when they arrive at school. If there are 150 walkers on average each day we walk, Mrs. Krueger and Mrs. Stein will participate in a special surprise for students – to be announced in early May. In the past we have dyed our hair and painted our faces blue and yellow; shaved our heads; took a pie in the face and kissed a pig. I wonder what we'll do this year!
If you have have already given permission for your child to walk in the fall or winter- your child still has permission to walk. That permission was for the whole year. If you need to give permission or are interested in volunteering, please call or email Ms. Stein. The phone number is 781-314-5740. Click here to email: (E-mail). PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CHILD'S BUS NUMBER IF SHE OR HE WILL BE DISEMBARKING AT THE CORNER OF ABBOTT AND WARWICK!
Wear our school colors - blue and yellow - on these days to show off your Northeast pride!
