The Children’s Hospital has indicated that because of financial burdens, many young patients do not receive presents for the Holiday. Medical and insurance costs unfortunately make the purchase of gifts for many of these children beyond the reach of their parents. We would like to bring some joy to these children for the Holiday.
For the past 20 years, Kennedy Middle School has collected money to purchase gifts for the patients at the Children’s Hospital. We continue this worthwhile venture this year too.
We designate one student from each homeroom to be a Student Santa and collect donations from their homeroom. The Student Santa is also responsible for purchasing a gift for a patient at Children's Hospital.
Last year Kennedy donated over $4000.00 worth of gifts!! We hope to surpass that amount this year!!
